Buddy’s Seafood Market – Return & Refund Policy
Because we sell fresh, perishable seafood and specialty food products, all sales are considered final unless otherwise stated below.
Overview
Buddy’s Seafood Market is committed to providing the highest quality seafood. Due to the nature of our products, we do not accept returns or issue refunds on perishable food items once they have left our facility.
This includes, but is not limited to:
- Fresh fish
- Shellfish (oysters, clams, mussels, shrimp, crab, lobster)
- Live seafood
- Frozen seafood
- Prepared seafood products
Once seafood leaves our store or is delivered, it is outside of our control and cannot be resold for food safety reasons.
Damaged, Incorrect, or Quality Issues
If you believe there is an issue with your order, you must notify Buddy’s Seafood Market within 2 hours of pickup or delivery.
We may request photos, packaging, or the product itself to verify the issue. If the issue is confirmed to be our error (wrong item, spoiled product at time of sale, or damaged packaging), we will offer one of the following at our discretion:
- A replacement of the same product
- Store credit
- A refund to the original payment method
We do not issue refunds for seafood that was mishandled, improperly stored, overcooked, or not prepared correctly after leaving our store.
Live Seafood Policy
Live seafood is guaranteed alive at the time of pickup or delivery. Once live seafood leaves our facility, Buddy’s Seafood Market is not responsible for mortality due to temperature, handling, transport time, or customer storage.
Customers must inspect live seafood at pickup. Any issues must be reported before leaving the store.
Non-Perishable Items
Non-perishable retail items such as seasonings, sauces, tools, merchandise, or packaged goods may be returned within 7 days of purchase if:
- The item is unopened
- The item is unused
- Original receipt is provided
Opened food items, frozen products, and refrigerated products cannot be returned.
Sale Items & Specials
All discounted, promotional, clearance, and special-order items are final sale and are not eligible for refunds.
Order Cancellations
Pre-orders, live seafood orders, and special orders may be canceled only before they are processed with our suppliers. Once your order has been submitted to our vendors, it cannot be canceled or refunded.
